Hi, I am a reporter/photographer with the Indianapolis Star and I am looking for information on where Dillinger may have lived briefly in Mars Hill. My Grandparents lived at 4600 Farnsworth, and my father remembers a story that Dillinger or a family member lived just a few doors down. I know from our archives that the sister did live in the Maywood, on the far southwestside of Indianapolis in what is known now as Mars Hill. If anyone can help me track down the actual address of the sisters house, please email me at michelle.pemberton@indystar.com

That is beyond heartless and tacky! His family misses him greatly & obviously would not appreciate your sentiments. How would you like it if that is how someone talked about someone you love and lost? Show some class & less ugliness and immaturity!

Real Silk also had a Mississippi plant in Durant, Ms. My father worked there till the early-to-mid 50's. Maybe 1954 or so is when it finally shut down.

This map must be of the original intended development, as I know for a fact that the current Mars Hill area is nowhere near the size that this map shows. For one Mars Hill doesn't go all the way to 465, and Eagle Heights is west of Mars Hill, between Mars Hill and Lynhurst St. To those discussing John Dillinger, yes he did in fact live in this area, my Great-Grandmother met him several times back in the day.

Not GoodWIN but GoodMAN. Jack Goodman was my great uncle, and my father worked for the company for several years after WWII. See http://indiamond6.ulib.iupui.edu/cdm/ref/collection/EOI/id/4848 and please correct this entry.

I Love this place! The architecture of this church is absolutely wonderful, quality and detials you will never find again in new buildings. I yearn for this place. People are loving, accepting and very friendly too. I highly recommend this church if you are looking for a place to worship, or just find peace and quietness. I'm not real religious, but I've fuond my peace with this church and its people. Thanks Sacred Heart!

This location is wrong, it should be directly across the track from the Marsh Grandstand. When looking on Google maps (As of Aug 2012) when you zoom in you can still see the remains of the stage.
