As alot of you I myself grew up at Melody Skateland. I also miss the time where I could take my family to have a great time. I still have my skates and will probily not get rid of them. They are the only thing that I have to remember Melody and the great times that I had going there. I wish it was still around.
As I drive by the location where it once stood at (5101 W.Washington St. Indianapolis) I picture it still being there. I still remember 317-248-8101. I still have the white skate passes to get in. Does that tell you how much I miss Melody Skateland?

Actually, up until a few years John Dillinger did have a sister or an aunt who lived on Lockburn St. 2700 or 2800 block

This place was absolutely horrible & I'm relieved it's been torn down. People in Indiana who supported a place like this should be ashamed as should the staff and doctors who enabled its abuses. I was there, too, many years ago and remember it vividly. A horrid place for people with mental illnesses.

Really great, small concert venue. I saw Tony Bennett's "farewell" tour here in 1996. Over 18 years later, he is still going strong!
